Community Access and Social Participation
At JESC Disability Services, we believe that connection is key to wellbeing. Our community access supports are designed to help participants stay active, involved, and connected to their local community. Whether it’s attending local events, going shopping, joining a class, or enjoying a day out, we tailor each outing to match the individual’s interests and goals. Our support workers encourage independence and confidence while making sure every experience is positive, inclusive, and meaningful.
Support for Appointments, Recreation, and Community Engagement
We offer reliable assistance to help participants attend appointments, recreational activities, and community programs with confidence and ease. Whether it’s transport to medical appointments, joining a local sports club, or exploring new hobbies, our team ensures that participants are supported every step of the way. We believe in making community engagement accessible and enjoyable — empowering participants to stay connected, healthy, and active in their daily lives.
Daily Living and In-Home Assistance
We understand that comfort and independence at home are essential to living well. Our daily living supports are flexible and personalised to each participant’s routine and needs. From help with cooking, cleaning, and personal care to organising household tasks and building daily life skills, our team provides respectful and reliable assistance that promotes autonomy and dignity. We aim to make everyday living easier and more enjoyable in a safe and supportive environment.
Mentoring and Skill-Building
Our mentoring and skill-building supports focus on personal growth, motivation, and achieving long-term goals. We work alongside participants to build essential life skills such as communication, budgeting, emotional regulation, and decision-making. Our mentors provide consistent encouragement and guidance, helping individuals gain the confidence to overcome challenges and take steps toward greater independence. Each session is built around the participant’s strengths, goals, and pace.
How it works
Connecting you with the right person
At JESC Disability Services, we believe that great support starts with the right connection. That’s why we take the time to get to know each participant - their personality, support needs, routines, cultural background, and preferences for the kind of person they feel comfortable working with.
Instead of assigning whoever’s available, we carefully search for a support worker who’s the right fit. Whether you’re looking for someone who aligns with your values, lifestyle, and support style or is bubbly and outgoing, calm and patient, or experienced in a particular area, we do our best to match you with someone who truly gets you.
Because at JESC, it’s not just about filling a shift - it’s about building a relationship that works.
Once we’ve found the right fit, we organise a meet and greet, complete a service agreement, and get your support underway.
From there, we begin shifts and billing, making the process smooth, transparent, and personalised every step of the way.
